Václav Cigler (*1929) is an artist and designer whose world-wide fame was brought especially by sculptures made of optical glass. He also applied his visionary technological thinking to the design of utility glass, lighting systems, jewellery and inflatable structures, which the book places in a contemporary context. Emphasis is placed on drawing as the key to understanding Cigler’s diverse oeuvre.
